What does the forum theme “ITS Innovation Creating Liveable Communities” mean to you?
The ITS Industry is critical to meeting Australia’s future transport needs. Population growth is outstripping infrastructure growth, congestion comes at a significant cost to the economy and our vehicle emissions are putting the environment at risk. Advancement in ITS technologies will be vital to overcoming these challenges while helping create more liveable communities. ITS innovation has the potential to rapidly enhance the customer experience, while allowing for safer, more efficient and more sustainable travel.

Why are you excited about participating at the ITS Asia Pacific Forum on Intelligent Transport Systems 2020?
The successful of our industry will driven by companies and organisations coming together to collaborate on projects and innovate to overcome challenges. The ITS Asia Pacific Forum is a prime opportunity to learn from the experience of our peers and forge partnerships to help create smarter transport solutions.

Where do you see the Intelligent Transport industry in the next 5 to 10 years?
I believe the greatest opportunity for the Intelligent Transport Industry in the immediate future will be the development of Mobility as a Service. Through fostering collaboration between all mobility options, providing a predictive, data driven and multimodal transport management system and a single account for payment, booking and planning transport journeys we will create a strong foundation for understanding the true capacity of our transport networks and how we can best optimise them and manage demand effectively.
