What does the forum theme “ITS Innovation Creating Liveable Communities” mean to you?
I am pretty excited about the chosen theme. For me, this very much translates in as a more human-centric and less technology-centric approach to ITS. Without a strong buy-in from the users and innovations that genuinely makes our mobility more simple and hassle-free, we cannot release the potential the ITS solutions are bearing in making our cities and societies more resilient, efficient and sustainable.
Please provide a short quote about why you are excited about participating at the ITS Asia Pacific Forum on Intelligent Transport Systems 2021?
At the sector that I am representing, Mobility as a Service, we are very much in phase where exchanging ideas and best practises is needed. Following closely the development of the MaaS globally I very look forward the ITS APAC Forum and see it as an excellent opportunity to hear the latest news from the APAC MaaS market, that is in very active development phase right now. I hope to virtually meet and have a chat with many MaaS colleagues there.
Where do you see the Intelligent Transport industry in the next 5 to 10 years?
I believe that burning societal challenges that we are facing, like need to tackle the climate change and build more resilient and safe environments, determine also the focus of the development of ITS solutions. The most successful solutions serve those big goals by deploying the latest technological advancement.
