Presenter Guidelines

Presentation guidelines have been created to assist all presenters at AP 2021 to prepare and finalise their presentations.

There are different guidelines depending on your style of presentation, therefore please read the below information carefully and download the guidelines that are relevant to your presentation type.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
When pre-recording your presentation it is important that you take note of the below points:

  • Ensure that you have updated to the latest version of Zoom desktop client/app
  • Ensure that you are exporting your video to your local hard drive (not the cloud)
  • Ensure that you are wearing contrasting colours to the PowerPoint background
  • Ensure you have left the bottom right hand corner of slide free for your camera to sit (also remove the instructions box before recording)

*Updates have been made to the Zoom desktop client/app which resolve camera/recording anomalies

It is required that you use the official AP 2021 speaker presentation template which can be downloaded here.

Oral presentation guidelines (Technical / Scientific / Commercial and Special Interest Sessions)

If you have been accepted into the program as an oral presenter please ensure that you download the oral presentation guidelines here.

It is strongly recommended that oral presenters use the official AP 2021 PowerPoint template which can be downloaded here.

Oral presenters will be allocated 20 minutes for their presentation and then there will be a joint Q&A at the end of the session with all presenters. The allocated time will be strictly enforced to ensure the program is kept to schedule.

Interactive presentation guidelines

If you have been accepted into the program as an interactive presenter please ensure that you download the interactive presentation guidelines here.

In 2021, interactive presentations will be on-demand and will be made available through the ITS AP virtual platform for attendees to browse and educate themselves in their own time and at their own pace.

While not part of the live program during the Forum, these presentations form an integral part of the overall forum experience, enabling you to share your knowledge and expertise with your colleagues.

  • 5 minute rapid fire oral presentation
