ITS Asia Pacific Forum Launched Internationally in Singapore
At the recent 26th ITS World Congress, held in Singapore from 21-25 October 2019, ITS Australia hosted a VIP Cocktail Reception which marked the official international launch of the 17th ITS Asia Pacific Forum.
The reception was an outstanding success. Held at Skai on the 70th floor of the Swissôtel Stamford, guests were treated to panoramic views of the iconic Singapore skyline. More than 250 ITS professionals from Australia and New Zealand attended the event, along with many leading figures in the ITS from across the globe. Special guests at the event were the Australian and New Zealand High Commissioners to Singapore, Bruce Gosper and Jo Tyndall.
Dean Zabrieszach, ITS Australia President, welcomed guests to the reception, remarking that the Singapore World Congress had the largest ever Australian delegation at a World Congress held outside of Australia: more than 300 Australians representing over 100 Australian organisations working in ITS.
Mr Zabrieszach also announced that the Queensland Government joins RACQ as a Premium Partner of the ITS Forum next year. We are delighted to have the support of Queensland’s government for next May’s event in Brisbane.
Though the reception took place alongside a World Congress, it was equally about the future. For a great number of the guests in attendance, that future is next May’s ITS Asia Pacific Forum. In his remarks, Mr Zabrieszach spoke about his excitement for the Forum, and he recognised the many people in the room who were actively shaping the event by participating in the event’s organising committees.
Mr Zabrieszach also encouraged all Australians and New Zealanders in the room to take the opportunity in Singapore to talk to international colleagues and share with them the excitement for the Forum.
